Hundreds of messages of congratulations have flooded in, including ones from Line of Duty actor Martin Compston, who said: 'Class mate congrats what a snap ❀️', singer Olly Murs commented: 'Awww congratulations Guys! ❀️', and Ellie Goulding wrote: 'Congratulations Tom!! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³'.

It was back in May 2022 that Tom first confirmed that he had got engaged to Danniella, a pilates instructor. The singer had kept their relationship private, however when he released 'Remind Me' he explained how reconnecting with her was the inspiration for this song.

While on tour down under in 2022, Tom spoke to Rolling Stone Australia/NZ when he told them: "The engagement only happened the other day.

"I wanted to write a song that reminded me of a moment in my life where I realised I had given up something that was really making a difference in my life – in a good way. It’s about re-connecting. It’s that feeling when you’re at the top of the rollercoaster and you’re like: this is the best feeling," he explained.

Last month (April) after completing the London Marathon for charity, Tom then confirmed on the finish line that he would be getting married in May. Gabby Logan said to Tom: "First of all, a big challenge, you’re getting married next month..."

To which he replied: "Yeah, yeah, yeah!"

He also confirmed he has plans for the Iron Man challenge and new music.

It hit me hard watching him comprehend what had happened, trying to compute the madness and sadness of his new world now that his mum whom he loved so dearly had passed.
"It triggered memories for me of the loss of my cousin and best friend Alan when I was just a teenager, it broke so many of us. The song unravelled from me quite quickly. It was cathartic on many levels, thoughts of loss and heartbreak, dealing with the grief of death, or the breakdown of a relationship or friendship.
"These are all things that seem to have dominated my life in recent years, but sadly never get any easier to navigate. I'm grateful that the passing of time allows us to look back and remember the good times."
