It's finally happening! Victoria Beckham will be reuniting with the rest of the Spice Girls for a new TV documentary. The docuseries is from the same team behind Netflix’s Emmy-winning Michael Jordan series The Last Dance, and will see the singers opening up about their time as part of the biggest band on the planet, during their heyday.

Speaking about The Last Dance on Australian TV show The Project, Mel B said: "The director and the whole concept of how that was shot and filmed is really, really, really good. So we’ll be doing our own version with them."

Mel also opened up about writing the group's songs saying: "The rap in the Wannabe video, I actually wrote on the toilet while the other girls were doing the vocals."

The singer also revealed that her kids think her work has gone "full circle", so it is now "vintage"!

Will there be a Spice Girls musical reunion?

Although Victoria Beckham, Melanie B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner (née Halliwell) will reunite for this documentary, it's not known if they will reunite to do any performances. The last time they reunited for a tour, in 2019, the line-up didn't include Victoria.

However, Mel C has recently commented on an Instagram post by David Beckham showing Victoria singing karaoke with an unplugged microphone writing: 'Nice to see you getting a head start on rehearsals!'. 👀

What is Spiceworld25?

The announcement of this new documentary comes as the girls are nearing the 25th anniversary of their second album 'Spiceworld' and their film 'Spice World'.

Although we don't know too much about their girls' plans we have seen several Instagram posts pop up in the last few days. One quoted lyrics from their song 'Spice Up Your Life', "When you're feelin' sad and low, We will take you where you gotta go".

A second post showed a Mr Men cartoon in the style of Baby Spice titled, Little Miss Impatient (Waiting for Spiceworld25), with the caption: 'Guilty 🙋‍♀️ #Spiceworld25'.

Speaking to OK! magazine Mel C said: "Let's just say we're talking to Universal, the label that produced our first movie.

"You need to stay tuned to hear more. There will be big celebrations in the coming months, I can say that."

Spice World the movie, is the highest-grossing film of all time by a musical group. It was released in December 1997, with a limited re-release to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2017.
