PSY's 'Gentleman' Smashes Justin Bieber YouTube Record
The 'Gangnam Style' follow-up is another monster
K-Pop legend PSY has smashed YouTube records once again with his ‘Gangnam Style’ follow-up ‘Gentleman’.
The official ‘Gentleman’ video racked up well over 20million views in its first 24 hours on YouTube – dwarfing the previous 10.6million record set by Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Beauty and a Beat’ in October 2012.
Showing absolutely no sign of slowing down, 35-year-old PSY took to Twitter earlier this morning to write: “51million views in 40hours!! My God~!!!”
At the time of writing, less than 48 hours after being uploaded, ‘Gentleman’ has snowballed to 58.4million views and over 700k ‘likes’.
Of course, ‘Gentleman’ has a long way to go to emulate the success of ‘Gangnam Style’.
The most watched YouTube video of all time, ‘Gangnam Style’ currently has 1,526,760,938 views – almost 700million more than its nearest rival ‘Baby’ by Justin Bieber ft. Ludacris.
Go, PSY!!
