LISTEN AGAIN: Megan McKenna says Reality TV made it harder break into music
She spoke to Callum Gallacher on his evening show
It's easy to assume that Reality TV stars get everything handed to them for doing pretty much nothing. But, as amazing as that sounds, there's a pretty big downside to it as well, as we found out when Megan McKenna joined Callum Gallacher on his Evening show.
"I think that for a long time I haven't been taken seriously in the music industry because of being on reality shows" she told Callum, "it's been a lot harder for me to crack the industry actually."
And she's not just talking about from when X Factor finished last week. She's actually always wanted to get into the music industry, and just kind of fell into reality TV on the way.
She more than proved herself worthy of her new record deal, as she performed her original material week after week on The X Factor, and actually ended up winning EVERY WEEK of the live shows as well as over all.
Hopefully she's got enough material for an album already.
