Lady Gaga has lashed out at the “overflow of hate” aimed at her since she’s released ‘ARTPOP’.

Clearly riled by some comments aimed at her, Mother Monster told her 40million followers: “I put so much love into my music, into my shows, I make it all for you. I'll never understand the overflow of hate sent my way.

“Or maybe thats what entertainment is now. It's more fun to point & laugh than appreciate the artist. I'll keep rehearsing my steps #showbiz.”

After US music publication Billboard posted a story about Gaga’s Tweets, she fired a message at them too.

She told the American music institution: “You're included actually. In todays industry, u should be supportive of music period. Why target a passionate + dedicated artist?”

Despite the hatred from some quarters, Lady Gaga’s army of Little Monsters propelled ‘ARTPOP’ to number one in America yesterday, days after it claimed the UK top spot.

The album sold 259,683 copies in one week Stateside – the third highest figure for a female artist this year narrowly behind Katy Perry’s ‘Prism’ (286,000) and Miley Cyrus’s ‘Bangerz’ (270,000).
