Kylie Album Sales Surge 1000% After Commonwealth Games

The Aussie singer enjoys a huge sales spike on Amazon

Kylie Minogue album sales have spiked following her epic closing set at The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Aussie songstress played a decades spanning set at Hampden Park on Sunday night and immediately afterwards music fans downloaded her music in their thousands.

In the 24 hours after the show, ‘The Best of Kylie Minogue’ was the biggest seller on Amazon.co.uk with sales increasing by a whopping 1140%.

2001’s ‘Fever’ and this year’s ‘Kiss Me Once’ followed closely behind with Amazon sales spikes of 800%, and 669% respectively.

Other Kylie albums that have jumped include The Abbey Road Sessions, which enjoyed an impressive sales uplift of 667%, while November 2003’s Body Language leaped by over 500%.

Kylie’s hit-packed Glasgow 2014 set featured ‘Spinning Around’, ‘Into The Blue’, ‘Love at First Sight’, ‘All the Lovers’, ‘The Loco-Motion’, ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’.
