Justin Bieber Arrested For Driving Under The Influence in Florida
Miami Beach Police announce the news on Twitter
Not one to stay out of the headlines, Justin Bieber has been arrested in Florida on suspicion of driving under the influence. Oh dear.
Miami Beach Police confirmed the Canadian pop superstar’s arrest on their official Twitter page today.
They wrote:
Aged 19, Justin is two years under the legal drinking age in the United States – however, he can drink when he’s in his native Canada.
Beiber was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini when he was pulled over by Miami Beach Police Department in Miami, Florida.
The report, which has recently been published via the Miami Beach PD twitter account, describes how the yellow vehicle was seen racing a red vehicle at speeds of up to 60mph. The speed limit on Pine Tree Drive, where the incident took place, is 30mph.
Officers reported stopping the red Ferrari first and eventually pulling the yellow Lamborghini which initially failed to stop.
The report describes a number of offences including; driving with an expired licence, driving under the influence, speeding and resisting arrest without violence.
Once at the Miami Beach Police Department, Bieber denied he was drunk and claimed he was just returning from a recording studio. Officers asked him to carry out a breath test, which he allegedly "didn't perform to standards".
Miami Beach Police Department have just released Bieber's mugshot:
The arrest comes a week after police reportedly searched Bieber’s home in Calabasas, California following an alleged dispute with a neighbour.
