Iggy Azalea breaks her social media silence to reveal Britney Spears collaboration
The song is called Pretty Girls
Iggy Azalea has broken her self-imposed social media ban to discuss her new single with Britney Spears.
The 24-year-old broke the news about ‘Pretty Girls’ on Twitter, posting: “Hi just wanted to come online and tell you all how extremely excited I am for Pretty Girls to be released and that Britney and I are going to perform it 2.”
Iggy went on to explain that she is “still off social media” but will now hold a “monthly chat” with her fans online.
She also confirmed that she is still working on her forthcoming album and “things are going good”.
The ‘Fancy’ rapper decided to quit social media earlier this year following a series of controversial incidents.
At the time, she explained: “I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining.”
Meanwhile, Britney Spears has also used Twitter to tease her Iggy Azalea collaboration. She recently posted an image that appears to show her on the set for the ‘Pretty Girls’ music video alongside lyrics from the song.
‘Pretty Girls’ will be released on 5th May in the US, with a UK release date set be announced.
