George Bowie knocks Calvin Harris off the Scottish top spot!

Published 12th Nov 2018

Calvin Harris may have the most number ones this decade, but he’s been beaten to the top spot by Clyde 1’s George Bowie in the list of Scottish Top 50 DJs.

This achievement is music to George’s ears following another outstanding quarter with the most recent RAJAR figures revealing GBX on a Saturday night has an incredible 36.8% of the listening audience, while the GBX Friday Show remains a favourite, claiming 23% share of the Friday night radio market.

In just one year, George has managed to ‘Slide’ from fourth to first position in the Scottish Top 50 DJs and will be adding this achievement to his long list of awards and accolades.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for me, the poll is great fun and I am very proud to have pipped Calvin Harris, one of Scotland’s greatest exports, to the post!

“Maybe if he plays ‘Bits n Pieces’ more often he might regain the number 1 spot for 2019.”

Calvin Harris performed ‘Bits n Pieces’ at T in the Park in July 2016.
