Eminem Reveals 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' Cover Art
It depicts his childhood home in a rundown state
Eminem has unveiled the cover art to his upcoming eighth studio album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’.
Just like its prequel album - May 2000’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ - the cover depicts Eminem’s childhood home, but this time in a dilapidated state with boarded up windows and overgrown shrubbery.
The home, located in a run down area near 8 Mile Road on Detroit's east side, recently went up for auction at a starting price of just $1.
‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ is the first album since Eminem’s 1996 debut ‘Infinite’ not to feature the rapper on the front sleeve.
Set for release on 5th November, ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ sees Eminem join forces with Rock Rubin and his long-term collaborator Dr Dre.
The eagerly-awaited album will feature Eminem’s current single ‘Berzerk’ and the recently unveiled Liz Rodriguez collaboration ‘Survival’, which features on the special edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Eminem will have his work cut out trying to emulate the success of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ 13 years ago. One of the most successful rap albums of all time, it has sold over 21million copies around the globe.
