Ella Henderson has just released her latest banger 'Alibi' with Rudimental, which samples Coolio's 90s hit 'Gangsta's Paradise', and she joined Boogie and Arlene on Clyde 1 to talk about her new music.
The singer, revealed how she came up with the idea for the song at a writing camp last year, when she put on Coolio's song and started to improvise to it. Eventually teaming up with Rudimental to release the song, it could have been very different if a certain Scottish DJ had replied to Ella. 👀
The BRIT-nominated 'React' singer told how she is a big fan of Calvin Harris, and would love to do a collab with her, but he's not replied to her DMs! As the singer explained: "I would love to do a record with Calvin, I send him songs all the time in his DMs on Instagram.
"But I think he just finds me annoying at this point so... No (there isn’t a collab), I do send him songs all the time and stuff, but I don't think he's seen any of them. One of them was actually this ('Alibi').
Ella went on to joke: "He's probably got like all my last releases sat in his inbox, but I would love to do a record with him. I'm a huge, huge fan of Calvin, and I think he's done such an amazing thing with his career and everything, and I think doing something with... on my bucket list was to do something with (David) Guetta and that eventually happened, so he's like the next the next DJ target!”

'Alibi' is the follow-up to 'Rest of Our Days' which she released with Cian Ducrot, and her massive hit '0800 Heaven' with Nathan Dawe and Joel Corry.
Ella was chatting to Boogie and Arlene on Saturday 3rd February, on Clyde 1 between 9am and 12pm.

Nathan Dawe and Ella joined forces for this club banger. '21 Reasons' samples the 2007 hit by Alex Gaudino, 'Destination Calabria' and features Ella's distinctive vocals.

In 2019, Ella teamed up with Jax Jones on the fantastic hit 'This Is Real'. The song reached Number 9 in the UK and was co-written by the pair, along with some other songwriters.

Released in 2022, this iconic collab saw the powerful vocals of both Ella Henderson and dance music legend Becky Hill join forces with French DJ David Guetta. 'Crazy What Love Can Do' soared up the Charts, hitting Number 5 in the UK Singles Chart and Number 2 in the UK Dance Chart.
