Although we may have had to kiss goodbye to the phenomenon that was 'brat summer', with Charli XCX herself declaring the iconic era over, all is most certainly not lost - as it appears we may just have a 'brat autumn' on our hands! Packed with plenty of huge names as featured artists, Charlie XCX released a new version of her 'brat' album on Friday 11th October - and the following week 'Brat' hit Number 1 in the album chart.

We hope you've brushed up on your 'Apple' dances, because her new remix record 'Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat' has officially dropped - seeing her collaborate with iconic names such as Ariana Grande, The 1975, Bon Iver and Addison Rae. Not forgetting, of course, bops with Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and Lorde which were dropped prior to the full album.

Who features on Charli XCX's new 'brat' album?

The new version of the album, aptly called 'Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat', features all 16 original 'brat' tracks, however this time around there is a featured artist on each song.

The artists featuring on the album are: Robyn & Yung Lean, BB Trickz, Ariana Grande, The 1975 & Jon Hopkins, Troye Sivan, Addison Rae, Caroline Polachek, Bladee, A. G. Cook, Lorde, The Japanese House, Tinashe, Julian Casablancas, Bon Iver, Shygirl and Billie Eilish.

Which song features Ariana Grande?

In the lead-up to the remix album's release, fans were buzzing when both Charli and Ari confirmed that the 'Positions' singer would be featuring on a remixed track. Upon teasing the tracklist, it was confirmed that Ariana was featuring on the song 'Sympathy Is a Knife'.

On Friday 11th October - the day the full remix album dropped - Ari took to her socials to share a lyrical graphic, accompanied with a snippet of the song. The clip begins with the iconic 'brat' branding - green with black text - before switching over to pink when Ari's new verse begins.

When did Charli release the remix album?

The new 'brat' album was released on Friday 11th October 2024.

Prior to the release of 'Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat', Charli dropped four of the tracks already - these being 'Von Dutch' (A. G. Cook remix) featuring Addison Rae, 'Girl, So Confusing' featuring Lorde, 'Guess' featuring Billie Eilish and 'Talk Talk' featuring Troye Sivan - with Dua Lipa also lending her vocals to the track. 'Guess' was certified Gold soon afterwards.

Does Taylor Swift feature on 'Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat'?

Despite lots of fan speculation, Taylor Swift does not feature on the 'brat' remix album.

Like many popular songs, fans have their theories about who certain lyrics might be about - with Taylor's name coming into the mix when it came to 'Sympathy Is a Knife', thanks to the lyrics: "Don't wanna see her backstage at my boyfriend's show, fingers crossed behind my back I hope they break up quick".

To add some context, fans believe this this refers to Taylor's rumoured romance with 1975 frontman Matty Healy, with Charli also being engaged to the band's drummer George Daniel. Adding fuel to the fire, the producer of 'Sympathy Is a Knife' reportedly followed Taylor Swift on Instagram - a sure fire sign in the age of social media.

Despite this, it proved to all be just rumours, with Taylor's name officially not featuring on Charli's new remix album. Amongst the chart battle, Taylor praised Charli's 'surreal and inventive' talent, with Charli also speaking out urging fans to stop fuelling feud rumours.
