Callum Beattie's fantastic 'Salamander Street' now added to the Clyde 1 playlist

Fan favourite 'Salamander Street' by Scottish singer/songwriter Callum Beattie has now been added to the Clyde 1 playlist, so make sure you're listening!

Written a few years ago, and taken from Callum's debut album 'People Like Us', the song is about the road in Leith, Edinburgh of the same name. 'Salamander Street' always proved popular with fans at Callum's gigs, and now it's been released, along with the the music video.

In the music video, Callum can be seen sitting on his guitar case playing his guitar in various places along Salamander Street as the story of the music video plays out interspersed with clips of Callum.

Following the release of 'Salamander Street' on 26th June, fans tweeted messages such as, 'Great song and video ...awesome!', and 'Whhhoooopdewhoooop love this ❤'.

According to Celebmix, Callum filmed the video during the lockdown and, "LOVED shooting this video."

He continued, "'Salamander Street' has always been a firm fan favourite, so it’s great to have it out there. I also got to shoot the video during the night in a wet and empty Edinburgh during lockdown! What’s not to like?"

Although due to Coronavirus Callum has had to reschedule some of this gigs, last year was particularly busy and successful for him, after he supported Razorlight and The Kooks.
