What a great year for music!
2018 has certainly delivered in the world of music, it's been a great year for new hits! But as a number of new artists begin to make waves in the industry, some of the biggest stars from around the world have made their comeback to music in 2018!
After taking some time off, the likes of Cheryl, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne and Jessie J all released new material, whilst the Spice Girls, Boyzone AND Westlife confirmed 2019 tours!
Cheryl
Following a four-year break from the music industry, former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl released her comeback single 'Love Made Me Do It' in November.
The Geordie singer performed the upbeat track on The X Factor, before putting on an amazing show at Hits Live at the Manchester Arena.
Although nothing has been confirmed, fans are hoping for a new album and tour from Chezza in 2019.
Ellie Goulding
The lovely Ellie Goulding returned to the music scene in 2018, around 18 months after releasing her last song. The singer dropped the amazing 'Close To Me' featuring Diplo and Swae Lee, and performed at a number of shows in the UK.
Ellie also delighted fans when she revealed she's in the process of working on a brand new album!
Ariana Grande
After taking time off following the tragic events in Manchester, pop princess Ariana Grande returned to the world of music in 2018.
Making her comeback with the wonderful single 'No Tears Left To Cry', Ari went on to release her mammoth album 'Sweetener', which featured the songs, 'God Is A Woman', 'Breathin'' and 'Thank u, next'.
Westlife
To celebrate 20 years as a group, Westlife reformed and announced a tour for 2019! The group will be at venues across the UK including Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Liverpool and more!
It's also being reported that Ed Sheeran has written the group a brand new song!
Jess Glynne
After taking a year off to work on her new album, the wonderful Jess Glynne returned with some massive hits in 2018.
As well as her big single 'These Days' with Rudimental, Jess released the singles 'I'll Be There' and 'Thursday', and toured the UK.
Swedish House Mafia
Swedish House Mafia reunited at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, five years after giving their last performance at the same festival.
Since their reunion, they have continually teased fans with new music and gigs. They have now announced a number of gigs next year, with their only UK date at Creamfields in August.
Spice Girls
Fans of the Spice Girls were over the moon this year when the band (minus Victoria Beckham) announced they'd reunited!
The group, famous for hits such as 'Stop' and '2 Become 1', are touring the UK in 2019 and are even rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake made an incredible return to music in 2018, headlining the half-time show at the SuperBowl. The singer released his album 'Man of the Woods', which featured hits such as 'Say Something' and 'Sauce'.
Boyzone
Although they made a comeback to music in 2018 with their new album 'Thank You & Goodnight', it was bittersweet news for Boyzone fans.
Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy announced they'd be doing a farewell tour in 2019, performing some of the biggest hits to date.
Jessie J
After going off the radar for a number of years, Jessie J released her amazing album 'R.O.S.E' and later toured the world.
Jessie's rumoured new boyfriend Channing Tatum was also spotted supporting the singer at one of her shows in London!
