Fans of Adele will be thrilled to hear that the internationally-acclaimed singer is rumoured to be heading back into the studio. The 30-year-old, whose career now spans more than a decade, is apparently ready to record her fourth studio album.

Adele, who was awarded an MBE in 2013, is reportedly aiming to get back in the studio ASAP and is working on new songs over the summer months.

The singer, who is mum to five-year-old Angelo with husband Simon Konecki, apparently had a meeting with Sony bosses earlier this month about a fourth album, according to Metro.co.uk.

Apparently, Adele has already written some of her songs and has been approached by studio musicians - and even has a release date in mind of Christmas 2019.

After finishing off her massive UK tour in 2016, Adele did warn fans that she would be taking a break for a while - but it seems that the 'Skyfall' singer can't stay away!

Adele's last album, '25' was released in 2015, and included huge hits such as 'Hello', 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)', and 'When We Were Young'. It reached the number 1 spot in 14 countries, achieving top 10 status in the other two countries with charts - and was awarded 11x Platinum by the BPI. All three of her albums have been number 1 in the UK.

She has spent 37 weeks at number 1 on the UK Album Charts collectively, and a whopping 337 weeks in the Top 40. '21' was certified 16x Platinum, and '19' was certified 8x Platinum.
