Is KT Tunstall releasing new music?
The singer will be bringing out her seventh studio album 'NUT' on 9th September, which is available to pre-order now ahead of its release.
The album completes a trilogy of releases that she started recording in 2016. It follows on from 'KIN' and 'WAX', and each album represents the three existential parts of ourselves: mind, body and spirit.
Of the album, KT commented: "‘NUT’ is the culmination of a seven-year project. It's the final part of a trilogy of records that has spanned probably the most extreme and profound period of change in my life. The personal arc of these three records has been pretty extraordinary for me."
Sharing how the album got its name, she explained: "Growing up in Scotland, if someone was losing their temper you would say, ‘Dinny lose yer Nut!’ I love that the word also means a seed. The album artwork is all about the brain being a garden; you reap what you sow, you need to keep the weeds at bay, and there is an almost supernatural beauty to when things blossom."
The brilliant singles 'Private Eyes', 'I Am The Pilot' and 'Canyons' have already been released from the new album. The captivating music video for 'Private Eyes' was released on 3rd August, and is based on an experience KT once had at a party.
