Charli XCX to star in new original film called The Moment
It's the first from her new production company Studio365
'brat' singer Charli XCX is set to appear in a brand new movie, the first from her new production company Studio365. The singer who had several hits last year, including her viral 'Apple', and iconic album 'brat', will appear in this project called The Moment, according to Variety.
Charli will join forces with A24, an American entertainment company, to produce and star in the new film. While the plot for The Moment is currently under wraps, it's understood it will be directed by filmmaker Aidan Zamiri, as his directorial debut, and feature songs composed by A. G. Cook, who worked on 'brat'.
Before this news was revealed, back in December, Charli appeared to allude to branching out into acting as she told Variety: "I hate it when musicians dive into a different field, head-first, without really researching or learning much of anything about it. So I did a lot of reading to educate myself over the past three or four years before I actually did anything."
This exciting news follows last week when it was announced that Charli was the recipient of five nominations at The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard, including noms for Artist of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year. Charli has also been announced to perform at the Grammys, when they take place in February.
