Last night he appeared on Ellen to talk about the experience and perform Jessie J's song 'Flashlight', little did he know that his idol was waiting back stage.

As the video shows Ellen handed Tom a microphone, he took to the stage and started to sing. She then got up and said "Hold on one second, sorry...we're missing something".
Jessie J then appeared on stage hugging the surprised Tom who was speechless, just saying 'wow'! Despite the fact that they hadn't practiced the song together they sang 'Flashlight' in front of the audience without a hitch.
The 'Bang Bang' singer later posted a photo of her and Tom on Instagram with the hashtag #iLOVEsurprises.
Smule is a free app which allows members of the public to sing 'with' others around the globe. Recently a duet between Jason Derulo and Leona Lewis singing 'Want Me To Want You' went viral.
