Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice has finally confirmed the rumours that he's dating Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts. The 28-year-old dancer, who has been on Strictly since 2015, was rumoured to be dating 37-year-old Ashley during the show, but the pair denied it over and over again.

However, after it was reported that Giovanni had chosen to spend Christmas in Florida with Ashley rather than his family, it seemed pretty certain that they were indeed an item - and Gio has now confirmed the rumours.

Speaking on Lorraine earlier today alongside his Strictly co-stars Aljaž Škorjanec and Gorka Marquez, Giovanni confessed that they were together, saying, "We have yes been on holiday. We spent time together yes."

As Lorraine then said that it was "early days" for the pair and added that she hoped it "went well", Giovanni seemed to sincerely thank her for her words.

Gio defended his new girlfriend after the group discussed her previous dancing experience, saying, "Even with my partner Faye Tozer, every single year there’s people talking about dance experience. They never danced before – ballroom or Latin. It’s different things to do. They put 100% commitment to the show. That’s the most important thing."

Gorka also opened up about his relationship with radio presenter Gemma Atkinson, who he met on the 2017 series. After Lorraine brought up the 'Strictly Curse', but said that it had turned out well for him, Gorka said, "Lucky me! We are very happy.

"Thanks to the Strictly tour, I got the chance to spend more time with her and get to know each other better. We are very happy."

Cute!
