Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has thanked her fans after she won Best Actress at last night's (7th October) Inside Soap Awards. Taking to Instagram, as she was unable to attend the ceremony, Stephanie shared a video of herself in a field, wearing a bobble hat and oversized jumper.

The 26-year-old told the camera, "I won best actress! I'd like to say thank you to everyone who took time out to vote for me. It really means a lot. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there tonight, I'm just spending some time with my beautiful family and my gorgeous little boy Caben."

She went on to say, "I'd like to say a big thank you to my family on-screen and my own family who are so supportive and beautiful, and to my amazing producer Brian Kirkwood, thank you for believing in me. Lots of love."

Stephanie, who shares her son with ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, captioned the video, 'THANKYOU TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR ME AND FOR HOLLYOAKS WINNING BEST SOAP!" She then dedicated the award to her 2-year-old Caben, writing, "Caben...... THIS IS FOR YOU".

Her win comes after a tough few weeks for Stephanie, after she announced her split from boyfriend and co-star Owen Warner, following their 9-month whirlwind romance.

Just months before their split, Stephanie told Closer, “I can’t imagine my life without Owen. He’s so good to me and he loves the bones of me. He’s shown me what a real relationship is like.

"He’s the one I’m going to marry, so hopefully it’ll happen next year. That’s what he tells me."
