The Britain's Got Talent auditions kicked off last Friday (18th January), reuniting Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams alongside recent National Television Awards winners Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

After BGT judge and The Greatest Dancer host Alesha Dixon posted a photo of the group back together, fans were full of questions about Simon's 'new' and 'different' look.

But now, Simon has hit back at these 'cowardly' trolls, telling the Daily Star, "These are people who sit in dark rooms anonymously because they won't put their real names - which I think is cowardly - writing horrible things about you."

Simon made it very clear how he felt about the comments, going on to explain how he usually avoids reading them.

He went on to say, "I don't go on the message board and I don't Google myself. When you start doing that it becomes negative."

Meanwhile, Simon's BGT co-stars Ant and Dec made history on Tuesday night when they won their 18th National Television Award in the Best Presenter category.

Although there is no confirmed date yet, Britain's Got Talent is due to begin later in the year.
