He's explained all...

Robbie Williams may be from Stoke-On-Trent, but he's always had a special place in his heart for Manchester - so his performance in the city on Sunday (17th Nov) was a pretty special event!

Before his performance, Robbie gave an interview revealing that he's not owned a mobile phone since 2006! When asked how people get hold of him, he said, "I’m on my computer all the time if anybody needs me I’ve always, always got my computer."

"I’m a pop star, so I’ve got security with me all of the time," he added, before explaining, "I don’t because I don’t like speaking on the phone. I’ve got a phone phobia, I have always had it. I’m deadly serious."

Explaining further, Robbie went on, "I prefer this, looking you in the eye and seeing your face for some reason, this makes me feel comfortable. You know like when people talk over each other on a phone conversation, that is enough to shatter me.

"I hate that. So it’s true there’s an actual thing called phone phobia. I can’t remember what the name of it is, but I’ve got it." So there we go!

After the release of his 11th solo album 'The Heavy Entertainment Show' in 2016, music legend Robbie is preparing to drop his first ever Christmas record, 'The Christmas Present' next week on Friday 22nd November!

Following his successful stint on The X Factor judging panel alongside his wife Ayda Field, Robbie has worked with Rod Stewart, Jamie Cullum, Bryan Adams - and even boxer Tyson Fury on his upcoming festive record.
