Love Island's Ovie Soko gushes about his relationship with winner Amber Gill

They are the best of friends!

Ever since Ovie Soko entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell, he's been the best of friends with eventual winner Amber Gill, with many viewers even begging the pair to couple up romantically on the Island.

However, after Amber had her heart stolen by Irish hunk Greg O'Shea, Ovie found something with model India Reynolds, with all four Islanders now becoming good friends.

As reported earlier this week, Ovie appeared on This Morning today (Thursday 8th August) where he cooked brunch for hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, as well as having a chat about his whirlwind summer.

Speaking about his adorable friendship with Amber, Ovie gushed, "I just saw so many positive qualities in Amber and I think at times maybe she could have been a bit misunderstood. She’s going to check everything you’re saying to her and she’s going to think about it. She’s not going to just let anything fly by. And I love that quality about her. She knows who she is and she stuck by it.”

When asked what he thinks about being friends with a member of the opposite sex, Ovie added, “I think you can and I think it’s helpful, because from my experience, just from travelling, I have gotten advice from all different sorts of people. And you also need advice from people of the opposite sex.”

Meanwhile, as his relationship with India seems to be going from strength to strength, Ovie admitted he's not yet 'in love'.

He said, “I can’t say love. I think love is a thing that takes time to develop. But you know, we’re in a good place and we’re just going to put one foot in front of the other. We’ve spent quite a lot of time together since leaving the show. She’s back in Reading at the moment handling some stuff, but we’ve been enjoying it, taking it in our stride.”

Since stepping foot in the Love Island villa, the nation fell in love with the 6ft 7in basketball player, and Ruth and Eamonn were quick to find out why he chose to apply for the popular dating show.

Admitting it was actually his brother who told him to apply, Ovie said, “I went in because of my big brother, funnily enough. Because I’m always sort of travelling and stuff because of basketball, I’m only ever really around in the summer times. I came back and Love Island always seems to be the big deal and he was like, ‘Man, you’d be great on that show if you went on there’ and I didn’t think anything of it. I ended up applying when I had some downtime and yeah, now I’m sort of here.”

TOMMY STOLE LUCIE FROM JOE

After surfer girl Lucie coupled up with Joe on the first episode of the series, things seemed to get off to a good start... before Tommy entered hours later.

Tommy chose to couple up with Lucie, stealing her from poor Joe. He said in the Beach Hut, "At the moment the girl I want to pursue is going to be Lucie. She's a surfer, she goes to the gym. Her body is banging. She has beautiful eyes, a beautiful face, beautiful everything."
