One Direction’s Niall Horan met Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace in London last night.
20-year-old Niall was one 300 Irish celebs including X Factor judge Louis Walsh and boxing legend Barry McGuigan invited to meet The Queen and Prince Philip at a reception for the Irish community.
Immediately after meeting Queen Elizabeth, Niall told his 17million Twitter followers: “I would to thank @BritishMonarchy and of course queen Elizabeth for her invite to Buckingham palace yesterday evening.”

Other guests at the event, celebrating the contribution made by Irish people in Britain, included Father Ted writers Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews, fashion designer Orla Kiely, singer Imelda May, racehorse trainer Jonjo O'Neill and former Formula One racing boss Eddie Jordan.
Palace spokesman said: "It was a really fun evening - great company and extremely relaxed.Her Majesty seemed to enjoy the craic."
