Married At First Sight couple update fans on BABY news 👶
Aww!
Oh, how we miss Married At First Sight Australia already. How are we actually going to cope without our nightly fix of Sam Ball's snide comments, Martha Kalifatidis's bitter Jessika Power and Ines Basic feud and Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant's general PERFECTION?
Well - as we twiddle our thumbs until MAFS Australia series 7 hits our screens this summer - we've got some exciting baby news to bring you from one of the show's successful couples.
Michelle and Owen Jenkins are already talking babies!
Answering fan questions in an Instagram Stories Q&A, the couple from the fifth UK series of the show admitted they've already discussed family plans, with Michelle keen for kids as early as 'today.'
Michelle said, "I had a dream last night that we had a baby," with Owen adding, "If it was up to Michelle, we'd have a baby today. But, luckily, it's a joint choice. So maybe in a few years' time."
"You're just so rational," Michelle joked.
Meanwhile, down under in Australia, MAFS star Mike Gunner has broken his silence over 'offensive' comments he made during the show's final episode.
Responding to the backlash over his 'sexist' claim that 'groups of women don't cope as well as groups of men under pressure,' Mike told OK! magazine, "The producers played this clip of all the girls blowing up and yelling at each other and then they play a clip of the guys getting along with pats on the back and showing each other support."
Mike continued, "They then threw it out to the group and asked what made the guys so solid and the girls fall apart."
"These were my words, I said ‘I don’t think I want to weigh in on this. I’m just going to stay out of this one.’
"Melissa Lucarelli went ‘no no, come on, what’s your opinion’ and I said exactly this ‘is it possible that in a situation like this, groups of men handle the pressure better than groups of women?’"
Which Married At First Sight Australia couples are still together?
Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr: Series 2
The couple met way back in season two in 2016 and are still going strong. The pair prefer to remain out of the spotlight, but they are happily living together in Melbourne.
Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant: Series 6
Oh, Cameron and Jules. From the minute Jules and Cam had their first wedding dance without any music, we had an inkling they were in it for the long haul. And we were right! The pair got married properly after the show, and they are now proud parents to sons Ollie and Carter.
Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli: Series 6
Martha and Michael were an extremely drama free pair (in comparison to everyone else) so it's no shock that they have actually managed to stay together. They are now living together in Sydney whilst becoming full-time influencers. The couple are now engaged and welcomed a son called Lucius in February 2023.
Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven: Series 8
Despite Bryce repeatedly putting down Melissa's appearance during the show and more dramatic showdowns than we've had hot dinners - the on-off couple are surprisingly stronger then ever. The pair welcomed twin boys called Levi and Tate in 2021, before getting married for real in February 2023.
Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente: Series 8
Kerry and Johnny were an intruder couple on series eight of MAFS Aus, and following a pretty drama free experiment, the pair left the show as an official couple. The pair went to get married for real in January 2023, before welcoming a daughter called Chloe Rossi Balbuziente in June 2024.
Jade Barredo and Ridge Pywell: Series 11
Jade and Ridge entered the MAFS experiment as an intruder couple during the 11th series in 2023. The couple made it all the way to the final vows and have remained together to this day. In May 2024, Ridge announced he'd moved in with Jade and her daughter Victoria, and the pair have spoken about getting married for real in the future.
Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels: Series 12
In a MAFS first, it actually wasn't 'married at first sight' for series 12 contestants Rhi and Jeff, as shockingly the pair had previously dated before signing up for the experiment. Despite having reservations at first, Rhi and Jeff sailed through the experiment and were one of the most successful couples during the 2025 series. Although it is early days in their relationship, the pair have already moved in together and they look happier than ever!
In other MAFS news, applications for the next UK series are open now!
The application website states that anybody who would like to appear on the show must be over the age of 18, writing, 'In this unique relationship series about married life, a panel of matchmaking experts will be there to help you find the one.
