Mabel, who has had hits such as 'Fine Line', and 'Ring Ring' with Jax Jones, has just been announced as a contender in the British Breakthrough category of this year's BRIT Awards, and we caught up with the singer to find out how she felt after hearing the news.
The 22-year-old pop star revealed it was an honour to be nominated this year, following last year's nomination for the Critics' Choice Award, which was won by Jorja Smith.
When asked how it feels, Mabel said, "Very surreal...I'm going walk the red carpet and sit at a table in that massive room, and like actually be nominated for an award that's like, going to get announced - there and then. It's crazy!"

Musical talent runs in the family for Mabel, whose parents are 80s pop icon Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack producer Cameron McVey. During the interview, Mable also revealed the unusual thing that her mum did with her BRIT Awards - which she won in 1990 for Best International Breakthrough and Best International Solo Artist.
Mabel told our Entertainment Team that her mum melted down a BRIT Award and made it into medallions, to give to Cameron, her stylist and other people in her team explaining, "It's all about the team".
This the year Mabel has been nominated for the British Breakthrough Act, see who else as been nominated for a BRIT Award below.
