Little Mix's Jesy Nelson receives internet abuse after falling ill before show

The band were forced to cancel their shows

Little Mix fans were left disappointed yesterday after the girls were forced to cancel two shows due to band member, Jesy Nelson, being unwell.

Now the girls have received a lot of harsh criticism, with vile internet trolls targeting Jesy, with one even telling her to 'kill herself'.

The band were set to perform at Belfast's SSE Arena but, after realising Jesy was too poorly to perform, they released a statement confirming the show would not go ahead as doors open.

The girls took to Twitter to explain the reasoning:

After disappointed fans heard of the news, the trolling started to begin. One user commented on Jesy’s last Instagram post saying 'Kill yourself' before going on to call the 24-year-old a 'Fat whale'.

An angry parent also expressed her feelings, writing 'We were going to your concert today, went to the door THEY SAID IT WAS CANCELLED, because you were sick, sick my bum could the other three not play, like the little ones would not care if there was three like OMG, waste of money and time, there was children crying outside'.

Fans were quick to jump to Jesy's defence and claimed they have reported the user who made the awful comments, before flooding her feed with get well soon messages.

The girls are yet to comment further on the situation but are due to perform in Sheffield on April 2nd.

Ticket holders for the cancelled shows have been told to keep hold of their tickets and await further news.
