WATCH: Katy Perry's reaction to falling over on American Idol is hilarious
She was dancing with a contestant
During the current series of American Idol, Katy Perry who is one of the judges, had a bit of a mishap in the studio! Deciding to join one of the contestants, Katy took to the floor and started to dance in a very tight, short sequined dress, unfortunately losing her footing.
As the contestant Michelle Sussett encouraged the panel of judges to come and join her, she was first joined by Lionel Richie. Then, Katy Perry joined Michelle looking a bit dubious to begin with, as she shook her shoulders in time to the music.
The 'Dark Horse' singer then did some twists before falling over flat on the floor!
However, being the super star that she is, Katy didn't seem too embarrassed by what had just happened. After falling over and 'trying' to get up, she 'styled' her way out of the moment, ending up on her knees being helped up by fellow judge Luke Bryan.
Luckily for us American Idol have posted the funny video on YouTube so you can watch the moment Katy Perry falls over below and her reaction.
Although it's been a few months since we have had any new music from Katy, last month the pop star revealed that she would rewrite some of the lyrics to her hit song 'I Kissed A Girl'. The song sold over 4.7 million digital copies and spent several weeks at the top of the charts. However, it was criticised in the past by the LGBTQ community for 'trivialising bisexuality and gender stereotypes'.
She admitted in an interview, "If I had to write that song again, I probably would make an edit on it. Lyrically, it has a couple of stereotypes in it. Your mind changes so much in 10 years, and you grow so much. What's true for you can evolve."
