Joe Sugg shot to fame last year after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing 2018. Although he was an incredibly popular vlogger amongst younger generations, he really became recognisable amongst older audience after his stint on the show, during which he was partnered with his now-girlfriend, Dianne Buswell, and the pair made the final.

And it turns out that Joe, who announced that Dianne had moved in with him last week, really caught the performing bug, as he's revealed today that he'll be joining the cast of a West End musical next month!

The 27-year-old has been announced to play the role of Ogie in up-and-coming musical Waitress, which currently has Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison in the role. Former The X Factor star Lucie Jones plays the main role of Jenna Hunterson, with Pussycat Dolls and former Strictly star Ashley Roberts as Ogie's love interest, Dawn, and music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles.

In an interview this morning, Joe admitted that he'd been "shocked" to receive the role, and that although it "scared" him, he wants to "continue to do stuff that pushes and scares" him, because the feeling afterwards is "incredible."
