Itinerary revealed for one day Kardashian course
The 'Kimposium' has sold out
Brunel University's 'Kimposium', has rather unbelieveably sold out!
Clearly this is what higher education has been missing as the London university only announced its intention to hold "a symposium about all things Kardashian" last week.
They are truly Marmite celebrity figures, but whether you love them or hate them the Kardashian/Jenner/West clan have ruled social media for many years, their popularity spawning from their reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians which started eight long years ago.
The free event at Brunel University takes place on 26th November and while the full day tickets have sold out there are still some tickets available for individual talks through Eventbrite.
They might lack any obvious talent other than posting photos on Instagram but conference organiser Dr Meredith Jones explains why she is holding the event,
“they’ve gone beyond being reality TV stars to making vast amounts of money,” she said.
“They do nothing except be themselves – it’s the same fascination as we have with the British Royal Family.”
Some of the day's itinerary includes:
- Media-Bodies: what Kim Kardashian’s vulva can teach us about contemporary life -“So no-one can steal our bodies ever": Death Comes to the Kardashians’ - Doing Feminism; Fourth Wave, Past Post-Feminism and Twitter Terf Wars - Colour and Curves: “This big bum thing has taken over the world"
If you're interested in attending then you can see the rest of the day's itinerary here. Let us know if you go!
