Gemma Collins speaks out following shocking argument with Jason Gardiner
They came to blows on the show!
When ITV bosses announced they'd booked TOWIE legend Gemma Collins to appear on the 2019 series of Dancing On Ice, things were never going to go smoothly! With Gemma's track record of quitting reality shows in the past, many thought she'd be off before the first show even started, but she's proving everybody wrong.
Although, not without any drama! After Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby called her 'unprofessional' for taking a nap on set, Gemma's drama continued on Sunday night's show when she had an explosive argument with judge Jason Gardiner.
Now, after escaping elimination, Gemma has broken her silence, thanking fans for their support following a 'tough week'.
Sharing a video of Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan defending her, Gemma wrote, 'Thank you to everyone who supported me its been a tough week @thepiersmorgan @gmb 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 #teamcollins .... #next .... #boring'. sic
Fans of The GC were quick to comment on her post, encouraging her to carry on. One user wrote, 'Keep going head up', with another adding, 'So glad you stood up to him...😁 , don't let the beggers get you down.. be proud and beautiful 😁'. sic
It comes after Gemma and controversial judge Jason Gardiner came to blows during Sunday night's live show, in an argument that left viewers in shock.
When Jason compared Gemma to Anna Nicole Smith, instead of her character Marilyn Monroe, Gemma hit back, throwing shade at Jason for 'selling stories' on her.
Giving her a score of 3.0, Jason told Gemma, "You were more like Anna Nicole Smith – there was no elegance, you were all over the place, there wasn't enough skating, we're not going to see lifts from you."
Clearly furious, Gemma replied, “Maybe if you didn't sell stories on me I wouldn't have been so upset and could have concentrated on my routine more."
Meanwhile, despite the cringeworthy argument, Gemma is back in rehearsal with her professional partner Matt Evers, with the pair expected to perform on Sunday night's show.
