The fourth judge for Dancing on Ice has been confirmed
It was announced this morning
Last updated 25th Oct 2017
The fourth judge on the popular TV show, Dancing on Ice has been confirmed, following the announcement that Ashley Banjo would be the third person joining the panel last week.
The announcement was made earlier today on the official TV show's Twitter who said, 'Welcome back @offficialJasonG'.
Jason Gardiner joined Christine Lampard on Lorraine this morning to confirm the exciting news about his return to the show.
Kicking his leg high from behind a screen, Jason made a big entrance running over to hug Christine, who is filling in for Lorraine. In all the excitement they even found themselves attached to each other!
Watch the moment below:
Jason has a reputation for being very honest giving him the nickname 'Mr Nasty', speaking to Christine he said, "I'm honest, as you know, I always call it as I see it."
He then continued, "but similarly when they're good, I give them great praise. I think I help them to improve a lot."
Jason is clearly a favourite as he has been receiving messages from fans throughout the day, with him taking to Twitter this afternoon to thank them.
Jason will be joined by former Olympians Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean as they move from coaching to judging, and previously announced judge Ashley Banjo.
Although not an ice skater, Ashley is known as a brilliant dancer and choreographer. He rose to fame as a contestant as part of the dance group Diversity in Britain's Got Talent in 2009. Since his breakthrough he has gone on to feature in a number of TV shows including the show that made him famous as well as appearing as a judge in Dance Dance Dance.
Dancing On Ice first hit TV screens nine years ago with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield presenting the show together until 2011. Following that Christine Lampard took over from Holly between 2012-2014.
However, since 2014 Dancing On Ice has been on a break, much to many fans disappointment. Earlier this year it was announced it would be returning very soon with a big twist.
Since the show started we've seen winners such as Ray Quinn, Matthew Wolfenden, Suzanne Shaw and Beth Tweddle.
The new series due to start in January 2018.
