Molly Rainford has made it all the way to the Strictly Come Dancing final where she will go head-to-head with Fleur East for the infamous Glitterball Trophy, but it seems that there are already other exciting things on the horizon for the former Britain's Got Talent contestant.

The Strictly finalist first appeared on TV a decade ago at the age of just 11, when she was a contestant on the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent. Molly blew the judges away with her audition singing 'One Night Only' by Jennifer Hudson, and made it all the way to the final.

Now, after several years in the limelight including playing the title role of Nova Jones in the CBBC series, about a trend-setting galactic popstar, it looks like Molly could be about to take a step into the European stage in real life.

A source speaking to Mail on Sunday has revealed that she's tipped to be the UK's next Eurovision entrant: "Molly has all of the attributes to be a great act for the UK. She has a fantastic voice and she has a huge fan base."

They went on to say: "She is a real performer and has worked her way into the show business industry through hard graft. She is the epitome of what the UK candidate should be. It’s very exciting.

"She has won massive new support by taking part on Strictly so hopefully the nation will be behind her."

Next year's Eurovision Song Contest, will take place in Liverpool, and if Molly is picked to represent the UK, then she will follow in the footsteps of Sam Ryder, who came second with his hit 'Space Man'.

Sam's song became the most successful Eurovision song for many years. He has now released his debut album called 'There's Nothing But Space, Man!' and announced a UK tour for 2023.

While Molly has yet to comment on the possibility of representing the UK next year, she is set to appear in the Final of this year's Strictly Come Dancing, when it takes place on Saturday 17th December at 7:05pm on BBC One.
