He didn't have much luck in the villa when he took part in the 2018 series of Love Island, but Dr Alex George has delighted his fans by revealing he's dating... and you may just recognise her!

Taking to his Instagram page over the festive period, Dr Alex wrote, 'The person I would like to couple up with is....' sic

But fans of ITV2 show Ibiza Weekender were quick to notice that Alex's new girlfriend is actually Amelia Bath - one of the reps on the show in 2016.

Fans were quick to comment on the snap, one user wrote, 'So cute. Wish you both all the best. 👌💕🥂😊', with another adding, 'Doctor love has found his love', with a third writing, 'She's your perfect match then we are happy for you @dralexgeorge as you deserve the best!'. sic

After finding fame on Love Island last year, Dr Alex revealed he'd returned to his job on the NHS in November.

He wrote, 'Love Island was the experience of a lifetime, but ever since I left the villa I've genuinely missed working for the NHS. That's why this week, I'm going back to A&E. I trained for years for the opportunity to help people, and I can't wait to get back to doing what I love.'

'I'll be using my platform to raise awareness around health issues among young people. Hopefully I'll be able to give you a bit of insight into what it's like on the front lines of the NHS. I hope you all continue this incredible journey with me. Here we go!' sic
