Dec Donnelly has opened up about parenthood, revealing it is in fact the 'hardest thing he's ever done' and it should 'come with a warning'. Dec and his wife Ali Astall welcomed their first child, baby Isla, in September 2018. Since then,

Speaking to the Evening Standard, he said, "No one tells you how hard being a parent is! We could have had a warning! It is literally the hardest thing I've ever done but I’m loving it."

After getting married in his hometown of Newcastle back in 2015, Dec and Ali welcomed their first child in September 2018. Announcing the news on Instagram, Dec wrote 'Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D x' sic

After returning from Australia, where he hosted I'm a Celebrity alongside Holly Willoughby, Dec was recently reunited with his best friend and co-presenter Ant McPartlin.

After taking a year off in order to focus on his recovery, Ant returned to work on Friday 18th January for the first set of 2019's Britain's Got Talent auditions.

Fans were overjoyed when the boys shared a selfie on their Instagram page, writing 'The boys are back in town!' sic

The boys have since gone on to win the Best Presenter award at the NTAs, for the 18th year in a row, despite some viewers thinking they didn't 'deserve' the award.
