Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, who plays the role of Sophie Webster in the popular ITV soap, has said her emotional goodbyes to her fellow cast mates, as she leaves the soap to give birth to her first child.
Brooke, who first announced she was expecting with her boyfriend Kean Bryan back in April, took to her Instagram page to share a super emotional video, showing the actress filming her last scene before her maternity leave.
The video shows her co-stars Jimmi Harkishin (Dev Alahan) and Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) hugging the actress as she wrapped up her final scene, before the crew congratulated Brooke.
Alongside the emotional video, Brooke wrote, '😭😭 I can’t believe 15 years ago I came onto the street to play “Sophie Webster” and today I left to play my biggest role yet “Mummy” my amazing family at Coronation Street I am going to miss you all so much💛 thank you for always looking after me, for keeping me on the straight and narrow and for letting me get away with murder over the years.' sic
As well as sharing the cute video, mum-to-be Brooke also shared snaps of some treats her boyfriend Kean Bryan had purchased for her. She added, 'Also @kean8 for making my last day extra special coming home to the best treats!! I really am super lucky!! 💛.' sic
Brooke's Corrie co-stars were quick to comment on her post, wishing her well throughout her pregnancy journey.
Tina O'Brien, who plays the role of Sarah Platt, wrote, '😢😢😢😢😢😢 it’s not going to be the same without you!!!! Can’t wait to hear all about your mummy adventures, you’re going to be an incredible mum 😘😘😘😘😘😘'. sic
Former Corrie star Ryan Thomas added, 'Wow crying here 😢,' with Samia Longchambon writing, 'Awww we will miss you so much Brooke! Well done on getting through today! 💕😭😘 Xx'. sic
