Following 22 years of marriage and nine children together, Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda and Clive Owen shocked fans last year by announcing they'd split, releasing a statement at the time to confirm the sad news.

Now, after reports have suggested Amanda has moved on with another man, 68-year-old Clive appeared on Thursday's (13th April) episode of Lorraine, where he opened up to stand-in host Christine Lampard.

Admitting he takes responsibility for the breakdown of their marriage, Clive said: "It's a tough time for Amanda now and I think it's only right because I don't do social media to speak out. We filmed Our Yorkshire Farm, people loved it and it was an opportunity to make something as a family. That was what drove her. It was amazing and very successful but I handled it very badly.

"It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things basically. I had a massive part to play in the relationship ending. A massive part to play. I was ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on. I don't know - jealousy."

Clive then went on to show his support for Amanda, defending her by saying: "It seemed to eat away at me and I handled it badly and I behaved badly towards her. I should have been supportive. It's been really upsetting, Amanda's having a tough time at the moment. I just feel I can't sit back. I have to say something in her defence, she's a remarkable woman. We just got to the point where we couldn't be together anymore."
