Love Island 2017 star Chris Hughes has revealed his brother Ben has been diagnosed with testicular cancer, just months after Chris appeared on This Morning to get his testicles examined.

Chris, who has previously opened up about his own scare in the past, took to Instagram to share the sad news, revealing his appearnace on This Morning made his brother check himself.

Sharing a photo of the pair together as kids, Chris wrote, 'A sad day. My brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer this lunchtime, in which we pray for a kind prognosis. He came into my room at 3am the morning after my testicular examination on tv, clearly struggling to sleep, telling me he’d found a lump and asked me if he’s checking it right. To which I told him, ‘Ben, it’s 3am, I’ll look in the morning, but if there’s a lump, go and check it checked tomorrow with the doctor’. Today he sent me a message telling me the news, and thanking me for making him aware, else he’d never have known he had cancer.. That literally broke my heart. Testicular cancer is a silent killer, men need realise this and check themselves regularly. It takes 10 seconds. Please do it. 🖤' sic

Fans and friends were quick to comment on the post, with Chris' Love Island co-host Kem Cetinay writing, 'Love you my brothers. We got this'. Amber Davies then added, 'Sending @Benhughes__ and you and your family so much love'. sic

Chris received tons of praise back in November 2018 when he stripped off on live TV to undergo a testicular examination with This Morning's Dr Chris Steele.

At the time, Chris revealed he noticed a 'build up of veins' when he was 14, but he didn't seek any mediacal care until he was 20.

As well as this, Chris revealed that his uncle has suffered from testicular cancer, and told viewers that both of his brothers are infertile.

We wish Chris' brother Ben a speedy recover! ❤️
