Ant and Dec have said there's 'no chance' they will host the next series of The X Factor.

Fans of the show will be disappointed to hear that the duo have dismissed any rumours that they might be stepping up as hosts after both Olly Murs and Caroline Flack stepped down this week.

In a recent interview with The Mirror Ant said: “We’ve done Britain’s Got Talent and we work well with Simon Cowell and have done for years. We did the original Pop Idol, so I don’t think we could go back to do a singing show."

The double act have also revealed that they recently turned down the chance to move over to the US and front a mystery TV entertainment show. They reportedly received a call from the States a couple of weeks ago with regards to the opportunity but rejected the offer.

Dec told The Mirror: "It’s not for us. It’s not the kinda thing we want to do."

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is currently airing every Saturday on ITV.
