Love Island 2017 winner Amber Davies has finally broken her silence following reports she went on a string of 'secret dates' with former One Direction fella Liam Payne.

The star, who made her much-anticipated West End debut in Dolly Parton's 9 to 5: The Musical to rave reviews last weekend, claims she's no longer 'dating' Liam but still thinks he's a 'genuinely lovely guy.'

Speaking to OK! magazine, Amber said, "Liam is a genuinely lovely guy and very down to earth considering how successful he is.

"If I messaged him and asked him for advice he would give it to me, but I'm not dating him. Liam is lovely but we're just friends."

This all comes after it was reported that the pair had enjoyed a 'whirlwind romance' following her split from fellow Love Island star Kem Cetinay. They claimed, "Amber’s very much Liam’s type and doesn’t look a world away from one of his former girlfriends.

The source added, "Her dreams came true when they went home together after partying at a nightclub in London. There was a real physical attraction between them."

This comes after Amber began her run in the Dolly Parton show, even sharing a selfie of herself with the icon. The caption read, 'What a woman @dollyparton ❤️ Amber and Dolly 9to5 is coming to @itvbe at 9pm on the 27th of Feb.' sic
