A look back at Mission Christmas 2018...

Just like that, 2018 is over and yet again with your support we have achieved amazing things! A massive thank you to each and every person who helped us make a difference during Mission Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters in Glasgow and the West we raised an incredible £578,619 and were able to make Christmas different for 37,119 children. Think about that...thanks to YOU 37,119 children were able to get a hot meal on Christmas, wake up with a gift under the tree or even just have the luxury of electricity on Christmas day.

In this day and age, it is terrible to think that the need is still so high. Sadly poverty in our local areas is on the rise, and although we can't change the statistics, we are proud to be able to do our bit to ensure these children and families living in difficult circumstances feel supported.

In the midst of fundraising, fulfilling grant applications, chatting to beneficiaries and making sure Mission Christmas goes to plan we often forget to take to reflect on just how amazing the work we are able to do, thanks to you is! This years Mission Christmas highlighted just how brilliant you all are. So many Workplaces, Schools and individuals got involved and were enthusiastic to come up with ideas on how they can fundraise.

We had such good fun on Christmas Jumper Day, getting out and about to visit some of the companies who dug out their favourite festive get up, had some fun in the office and raised a bit of cash for Mission Christmas. We are so proud that is every single £1 raised goes straight back out in the local community, so every £1 raised throughout Mission Christmas made a difference to the children who need it most.

Without you, we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We really cannot thank you enough...here's to 2019!
