Park Villa Football Development
Park Villa Football Development provide fun physical activities and support children living in deprived areas of Glasgow to overcome challenges both personally and at home.
Many children come to Park Villa from households experiencing or affected by unemployment, poverty, mental health issues, substance abuse, violence, and crime. Park Villa provide children in the community with relief from difficult home situations, offering a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere.
Collective physical activity improves physical and emotional well-being, promoting health, confidence, and social inclusion. Park Villa delivers safe and structured physical activities every weeknight as well as weekend activities, holiday camps, and additional events.
Park Villa Football Development use Cash for Kids funding to support families experiencing financial hardship as well as providing access to mental health support via their connections in the local community. Funding is used to issue food vouchers to families struggling due to holiday hunger when children are unable to access free school meals.
As a main contact for children and families outside of education, Park Villa ensure that they source and maintain connections to the local community to provide young children living in poverty and adverse conditions with the support, interaction, and guidance that they require.
