Argyll and Bute Women's Aid
Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid provide support for refuge and outreach for women, children, and young people who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
The group help by providing support for safety planning and support for fleeing; housing; risk assessments; and emotional support. They also provide one-to-one support for children to help them to make sense of how domestic abuse has or is impacting them.
Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid recognise the need for aid during the school holiday periods as financial strain on parents can increase and children are at home all day.
Cash for Kids granting supports the group, helping them to provide supermarket vouchers to ease some pressure at home, whether that be financially or a means to get out of the house – going on a picnic, for example.
The group support women, children, and young people in the community both in refuge and by phone support, providing vouchers for essentials like clothing, fuel, and food.
