Missing man spotted near busy Ayrshire road junction in the early hours

UPDATE 11.25am Police Scotland confirms William has been found safe.

People driving near the Bellfield Interchange in the early hours of this morning are being asked if they can help find a man who's gone missing.

William Johnstone, 27, was last spotted heading in the direction of the A76 at 12.35am on Tuesday 29th April.

He's slim - around 5 foot 7 tall - white with short brown hair.

It is unknown what he was wearing.

Inspector Lorraine Scobie said: "We are extremely concerned for William's welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen him, or who has information on his whereabouts, to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0088 of 29 April.
