WHAT TO EXPECT ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON - A PREVIOUS GENERATION GBX:
Getting to know George Bowie:
Everybody knows everything about me I live my life on the air and tell everybody everything. Doesn't always go down well with the family but hey-ho!
Career Highlight to date/any awards?
Calvin Harris playing Bits n Pieces at T in the Park 2016.
Favourite Scottish event of the year?
Apart from T in the Park (that would have been too obvious!) I love Coloursfest too, it signifies the start of summer.
Favourite band/music act of all time?
David Bowie. I think maybe because he stole my name, he's really David Jones. I got into his music at a very early age and got a day off school in 1983 to see him play live at Murrayfield. Still my favourite gig of all time.
Who is the most interesting person you have interviewed and why?
I found George Michael a fascinating man to interview. He was having a bad day when I hooked up with him in London and my 15 minute slot was cut to 5 minutes. 1 hour later I had to shut him up and finish the interview or I would have missed my flight home. He later asked me to DJ for him at Hampden Park which was incredible.
If you weren't on the radio, what would you be doing?
I'd probably be a music producer. I do a bit of that on the side and would eventually like to do that full-time. But not yet, I'm having took much fun playing the tunes on the radio.
Generation GBX is on Saturday, 3pm to 5pm, on Clyde 2
