Transport Bosses In Firing Line After M8 Pile Up

Scotland Transerv should be held to account for the accident and hold up on the M8 which caused rush hour chaos.

Opposition MSPs are accusing the company of failing to grit the motorway properly at Langbank near the Erskine Bridge. Four cars crashed at just before 6.30am and the road didn't re-open for 2 hours with motorists reporting treacherous conditions in the area. Scotland Transerv's admitting the road wasn't gritted after 4.15pm yesterday afternoon. Our Reporter Linda Sinclair spoke to the company's Contract Director Gordon Wilson about their planning for bad weather.
