Teenager goes on trial charged with rape of schoolgirl in Falkirk area
He denies the charge against him
A teenager has gone on trial, accused of raping a 14 year old schoolgirl in woods behind a high school in the Falkirk area.
The teen is said to have pushed his alleged victim against a tree and then to the ground in the mossy wood, described as being two minutes walk from the secondary, at which both were pupils.
He is then said to have raped her.
The alleged incident was reported by the girl to a police officer permanently stationed on the school premises.
The Officer, told jurors at the High Court in Stirling that the girl had "looked worried or concerned" when she came to his office with a female school friend on the afternoon of January 6th last year.
The girl, who cannot be identified, then alleged that she had been raped by the boy.
Jurors were told it was a matter of agreement between prosecution and defence that the pair'd had sex in the woods.
The boy - who was 15 at the time and also can't be identified - claims it was consensual.
Now 17, he pleads not guilty to a single charge of rape.
Trial judge Lord Turnbull told the jury of seven women and eight men that the case could be expected to last "a few days".
