The 2016 Rio Paralympics will begin tonight with the opening ceremony.

There will be 29 Scots among the team of 260 athletes making up Team GB.

Ten-time equestrian champion Lee Pearson has been named as Great Britain's flag bearer for tonight.

Great Britain will take part in 19 sports with Scotland represented in 9 of them.

The team landed 120 medals 4 years ago and hopes are high that total can be beaten over the next 2 weeks.

The youngest of them will be swimmer Abby Kane from Largs who has recently turned 13.

She began swimming with the local North Ayrshire Amatuer Swimming Club and recently joined Ren 96.

Abby spoke to Rob Waller about her expectations for Rio.
