Runaway Goat Found In Lanarkshire
The Scottish SPCA is seeking the owner of a runaway goat found roaming the streets of Stonehouse in Lanarkshire.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted on Saturday when members of the public spotted the male goat running around Vicars Road before moving on to Kane Place and Sorbie Drive.
Animal rescue officer Emma Sergeant said, “We tracked the goat down at the Persimmons estate which is located near Townhead Street and the A71. With the help of a member of the public, the goat was finally caught. He was very lucky as he was close to running on to the dual carriageway.
“He was wearing a black collar with no identification or ear tags.
“If no one comes forward for the goat we’ll find him a suitable new home.”
Anyone who recognises the goat is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA animal helpline on 03000 999 999.
