Policeman Injured In Line Of Duty

A policeman has been taken to hospital after being injured in the line of duty. The officer was injured while attending an incident in the Govan area of Glasgow at around 1.05pm, Police Scotland said. A spokesman said: The officer has been taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not life threatening.Two men have been detained in connection with a disturbance in the area and inquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances.'' The spokesman would not confirm reports that the officer was stabbed. Pictures from the scene show a bandage being applied to the officer's leg.
